During 2006 the Library Theatre Company offered a number of community groups the opportunity to work with a theatre director and an artist to put together a piece of work. Out in the City wrote and rehearsed a cabaret which focused on gay icons who had some connection with Manchester, however tenuous! It was given a public performance at the Britons Protection, a pub with a long history of friendship to the gay community in 2007.
